THE EYE OF A TORNADO
by Lorie
|
thoughts and feelings whirling around erratically
there's no control and the outcome can be disastrous
the onset unannounced and scary
terror mounts and fears are reality
never knowing when the wind will switch
rapidly changing directions sporadic
no rational no sense
All you can do is pray and hope it passes by quickly
until it does you are a prisoner to the unknown
never knowing what reaction there will be
you try to hide and hope it is all a bad dream
reality sets in and the nightmare begins
watching with terror and horror and fear
unable to stop it
when it finally ends
a new nightmare begins
trying to recover from the disaster with hope it's almost gone
life must go on but with a different twist each time
never feeling the same but you have to survive
the pain you feel is very real
sometimes you have to deal with it alone
praying to God that the next time it will be in control or pass you by
