| LONELY LITTLE CHILD |
by Linda S.
|
| A lonely little child lurks deep within my soul. |
| Searching and searching for a window or a hole |
hoping somehow, someway, someone will finally see me
|
| They see the sorrow they'll see the shame they'll see the tears falling |
| they'll see the guilt they'll see the pain, they'll hear the child calling. |
The child refuses to be heard and the reasons are:
|
| She's afraid so scared to let her feelings be known |
| Afraid of getting yet another scar, |
to find her pain and sorrow has only grown.
|
| A bottomless pit filled with such emotional need, |
| a need the child knows will never go away. |
| She keeps reaching and reaching to somehow succeed, |
| To grasp an understanding hand who will help her break out someday. |
