A FLICKER OF LIGHT
by Terri
|
A flicker of light that shines in the night, only is there for the pieces to share.
The pieces of you so gentle and kind that don't understand you're of the same mind.
But how can that be, you know that you're one; so who's that part that pulls at your heart?
Who's the one who only feels pain, or lets you believe you're a little insane.
That flicker of light is never far from your sight, and will always be there in your times of despair.
It's a part of you not to be seen - so special a glow that only you know.
The parts that have taught each from the start to always believe what's true in the heart.
That flicker of light starts to burn bright, when all of the parts can meet at the heart.
Kelley and Janie and Tommie and Mike, they are only part of our fight for this life.
A life with less pain, a chance to regain, what was lost at such a very young age!
